I was nursing a one year old heartache then. Decided I should take no pay leave and spend some time in France. Turned out I spent longer than expected 'timeout' in France as I met someone (who eventually followed me back and we lived together for two years before another heartache began. But thats another story for another day).
My first stop then was Annecy. Spent more than a month there. It was a great summer. Learning French (or did I?), enjoying the lovely city/lake (I sure did) and making lots of friends. Amongst them cool ones like Ho-Cheng and Peck whom I am still in touch with today.
We were young(er) and so carefree that summer. It was one of the best times of my life.
I am back again after 14 years. I dont know what took me so long. Annecy is still as beautiful and still gives me so much JOY.
